After a heavy downpour in Owerri, the capital of Imo state, a lady was reportedly swept away by river.
The lady fell into a gutter that was not visible owing to the flood and slipped off his hand after he tried to help her out, according to a man who described the incident.
He further stated that they went to the location where the water discharges but were unable to locate the lady, who has since been identified as Ngozi Adiele.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 14th, according to the man.
