Light has finally returned to Iluke-Bunu after more than ten years without it. It’s an exciting moment for the community, and we want to thank everyone who helped make this happen!

This journey began in 2011 when the Bunu Development Association (BDA) started this project. IDRUFEM, one of Iluke’s own, generously donated the first one million Naira towards electrifying Iluafon, Illah, and Iluke communities.

Their contributions, along with donations from the communities themselves, inspired many other prominent figures to join in. Honorable Salman Idris, representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Senator Smart Adeyemi, Mrs. Shade Olobatoke, Prince Mathew Kolawole, and others, all played a part in making this project a success. The result is that Iluke-Bunu now has electricity, and the happiness is undeniable.

IDRUFEM emphasized the importance of electricity for community development and pledged that ADC leaders would keep focusing on such transformational projects. Hon. Salman Idris, in just a few months in office, ensured that he provided the necessary support and resources to complete this project, bringing relief to the people.

IDRUFEM also expressed the belief that by supporting ADC’s Elder Leke Abejide for Governor, the community could experience more development and democracy. Leke Abejide’s leadership promises sustainable community development and projects that prioritize the people’s needs, so supporting him in the upcoming election is a way to bring progress to the community.
