The three-person panel’s unanimous decision was read by the chairman of the tribunal, Justice K. A. Orjiako, who claimed that Natasha’s results had been purposefully suppressed in those areas by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), while Ohere’s results had been inflated in nine polling units of the Ajaokuta Local Government Area (LGA).

After making the necessary corrections, the court pronounced Natasha of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to have won the election with 54,074 votes to Ohere’s (APC) 51,291 votes.
