Abdulazeez Tijani, a legal practitioner and social crusader, has used the Freedom of Information Act to demand details of the N52 billion disbursement of N52 billion to youths under former President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Public Work policy.
Festus Keyamo, the former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, claimed all beneficiaries’ records were domiciled with the NDE.
A legal practitioner has demanded N52 billion in payment facts for the Special Public Works (SPW) program involving 774,000 youths.
The lawyer, citing the Freedom of Information Act 2011, urged the NDE Director General to take a 30-day ultimatum to meet his demands.
The SPW program, which aimed to employ 1,000 unskilled youths in 774 local government areas for three months, was part of the N52 billion allocated for the SPW program.
The legal practitioner warned that unless his demands were met, he would have no option but to approach the Federal High Court for an order of Mandamus.
