Nigerian actor Yemi My Lover recently took to social media to express his disappointment with gospel singer Tope Alabi.
In a candid statement, he claimed that Tope Alabi, who had been his apprentice in the 90s, had allegedly failed to lend him any support or assistance despite her success in the industry.
However, he expressed disappointment that, despite her rise to fame, Tope Alabi had allegedly distanced herself from him and had not shown any gratitude or willingness to assist him when needed.
Yemi My Lover claimed that Tope doesn’t even pick up his calls and didn’t acknowledge his birthday last year, despite him taking a letter to her office.
He added that some of these gospel singers have worse characters than regular people.
Part of his words read, ” Tope Alabi was my apprentice in the movie industry in the 90s. Now that she has made it, I can’t remember any help she ever rendered to me. She doesn’t even pick up my calls. Last year when I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I personally took the invitation letter to her office but she neither came note send any gift to me. She didn’t even wish me a happy birthday but I am not mad, that is her way of life. Some of these gospel singers have worse character man, regular people”.
