Sam Bankman-Fried (SSBF ) is a well-known American businessman who gained notoriety after creating the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Before his November 2023 conviction for fraud and other related offenses, he was considered a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency business.
Through his entrepreneurial career, Bankman-Fried ascended to the position of CEO at FTX and co-founder of Alameda Research. In the Forbes 400, he was formerly ranked as the 41st wealthiest American. Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried are the parents of Bankman-Fried, who was born in Stanford, California, on March 6, 1992. He was given a 25-year prison sentence after being found guilty.
